Louis Botha H.T.S wins the 2019 Lemo Mall Cup for a third time in succession since the debut of the Cup in 2017. H.T.S Beat Lekhulong Secondary school on Friday afternoon, 13 September 2019 at a packed Outdoor Sports Centre in Rocklands, Mangaung to be crowed the 2019 Lemo Mall Cup champions.

It was a tough, competitive game for both teams having played to a O-O score line followed by penalties in the first game at the final held at H.T.S on Wednesday afternoon, 11 September 2019. Penalties could not decide the winner as both teams only missed one spot kick and went to score the rest.

The game ended 13 all on penalties and had to be re-played, at the expense of a frustrated crowd of fans who wanted to witness the winner on the day.

Stakes were high again on Friday with both teams playing some high technical short passes. The game was deadlocked at half time, with H.T.S enjoying the majority of possession without creating any clear cut chances to score. Lekhulong had chances of their own in the early stages of the second half but couldn’t capitalize on the mistakes of the H.T.S defence.

It was a midfield battle for most of the second halve, with HTS slightly having an upper hand by high pressing Lekhulong Secondary in their own half and forcing them into playing long –balls out of the back which played in the hands of H.T.S.

Neither teams could break the deadlock and the game ended 0-0 at full time. H.T.S went on to win the Game 4- 3 on penalties and were crowned champions of the 2019 Lemo Mall Cup and also received the prize money of R 30 000.
