MEC warmly greets a learner from Gonyane Primary School
It’s back to school for the 3rd Quarter and MEC Dr. Maboya monitored school reopening at schools in Mangaung on the 9th of July 2024.
The MEC was especially moved by the work being done by the teachers and management of Pholoho special school for learners with Severe Intellectual Disability. “I have a bias towards schools of this nature. I want to emphasize that these learners are not disabled, they are living with a disability. Your work in training these learners to compete nationally and internationally in Sports and slot88 login shows that when given the opportunity, they can rise above every condition that they are living with”.
The MEC did not fail to express her passion and determination to see that special schools and early childhood development (ECD) centres are prioritized in her term of office. “We are not a Department of Matric, we are a department of Basic Education”.
