The pursuit of true greatness remains an ongoing journey for the Mangaung Metropolitan Education District (MMED), one that continues into 2025.
The district remains resolute in their commitment to fulfilling the mantra, “THE DISTRICT ON THE RISE TO GREATNESS,”
Mangaung Metropolitan Education District has consistently achieved a pass rate above 90% over the three years: 90.8% (2022), 91.2% (2023), and 92,2% (2024). Moreover, the district has surpassed the 50% Bachelor pass rate for the first time at 50,1% in 2024.
“The district has demonstrated commendabe performance in the Province, accounting for 33,3% of bachelor passes and 32,1% Diploma passes.
In MMED, we are fortunate to have teachers and subject specialists who have mastered the art of educating both the mind and heart. None of this would have been possible without their tireless efforts.
We are thankful to all stakeholders, partners, private sector, NGO’s and sponsors. We acknowledge your invaluable contribution. You have proven that indeed education is a societal issue and it takes a village to raise a child.
To our learners you have proven that success is the result of hard work, discipline and perseverance. You have overcome challenges, sacrificed leisure time and pushed through difficult subjects and today you are reaping the rewards of your hard work. Remember this is only the beginning!
