Magnificent Wednesdays Schools Sports League Kick-Off
Principal of Leifo-Iziko takes podium to thank the Free State for support his Netball team while they were competing abroad
The Magnificent Wednesdays Schools Sports have officially kicked-off. Through this vibrant annual launch, the Free State Department of Education, in partnership with the Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation, are urging our schools to ensure that learners participate in sports and games as an important part of the wholistic development of our children.
This launch also took to celebrate the successes and return of the Leifo-Iziko Netball Team, who fought fiercely in Singapore at the Internation Netball Championship in November last year, for the province our country!
The league games will continue until September 2025 where the finals will be played in football, netball, volleyball and indigenous games!
